Jordan grew up on the move, surrounded by stories both true and fictional. From the east coast, west coast and in-between, she fell in love with the varied landscape of the United States. Her stories aim to be at once both new and familiar, and to capture the magic, terror and delight of growing up.
When she’s not writing, she might be painting, doodling, researching folklore from around the world, or singing with the Country Gospel band at North Coast Church. She’s a bit of an astronomy nerd, and some of her friends suspect that she might be one of the Fair Folk. Favorite authors include Rosemary Sutcliff, Charles Dickens and N. D. Wilson.
